Vacuum coating has obvious advantages compared to wet coating.
The difference between vacuum coating and wet coating
1、Wide selection of film and substrate materials, the thickness of the film can be controlled to prepare functional films with various functions.
2、The film is prepared under vacuum condition, the environment is clean and the film is not easy to be contaminated, therefore, the film with good denseness, high purity and uniform layer can be obtained.
3、Good adhesion strength with the substrate and firm film layer.
4、Vacuum coating neither produces lung liquid nor environmental pollution.

Vacuum coating technology is mainly used to manufacture resistive and capacitive components in electronics and other applications.

Electron microscopes can unravel the mysteries of the microscopic world, but their specimens must be vacuum coated to be observed, the heart of laser technology – lasers need to be coated with a precisely controlled optical film layer before they can be used, and the utilization of solar energy is also closely related to vacuum coating technology.

Vacuum coating instead of electroplating can not only save a lot of film material and reduce energy consumption, but also eliminate the pollution produced in wet coating. Therefore, vacuum coating has been widely used at home and abroad instead of electroplating for steel parts coated with anti-corrosion layer and protective film, metallurgical industry is also used to add aluminum protective layer for steel plates and strip steel.

Plastic films are vacuum coated with aluminum and other metal films, and then colored to obtain products such as gold and silver wires used in the textile industry, or decorative films used in the packaging industry.
