The aluminized protective film has the functions of improving the mechanical strength of the aluminum film, blocking harmful gases (such as O2 in the atmosphere) or the erosion of the aluminum film by substances [6]. Therefore, the coating has bright metallic luster, excellent gas and light blocking properties, good moisture resistance, heat resistance and puncture resistance, and the articles are not polluted and corroded during transportation, storage and use, and keep smooth and clean.


Since the main chain of PC contains an ester group, it is best to perform aluminum plating on the injection-molded product within 2 hours under a certain humidity at room temperature (0.15% - mdash; - mdash 0.19%). If it is stored for a long time, the substrate will absorb water and cause fogging after aluminizing. Polyolefin materials such as PE, PP, and ABS are non-polar polymers with low surface free energy, low surface wet tension (generally 30 dyn/cm) and roughness, and poor adhesion to aluminum coatings. After pre-coating, a smooth and flat coating can be obtained with a mirror effect, which can cover the substrate and prevent the volatile impurities in the plastic substrate from escaping during vacuum coating, which affects the coating quality. Therefore, this kind of material generally adopts the method of pre-coating primer and then aluminum plating to improve the bonding force between the coating and the substrate. At present, acrylate primers are widely used in China. The primer formulations are adjusted according to the type of substrate. There are mainly thermal curing primers and ultraviolet (UV) curing primers, which have good applicability.


Most of the plastic parts of the lamps are pre-painted with primer, then coated with aluminum, and then coated with a protective film. The essence of the protective film is silicon dioxide. The SiO2 film has a good protective effect, and can make the aluminum film intact in 10% alkaline solution. In order to reduce the process of pre-coating the primer and reduce the production cost, some people have developed the PBT primer-free material, and made new progress. Either way, the adhesion of the aluminized parts should be tested and used only after passing the test.

Vacuum coating equipment is used for coating preparation, and its steps are analyzed as follows:


1. According to the requirements of the equipment manual, check whether the power supply, water supply and gas supply of the vacuum coating machine are normal, and whether the oil volume of each pump is sufficient to ensure stable, reliable and safe operation.


2. Check whether the mechanical parts of the vacuum coating machine are normal and firm one by one.


3. Check whether the electrical components of the vacuum coating machine are in good condition and whether the electrical connectors are correctly inserted.


4. Put the aluminum wire feed plate with a purity of 99.98% into the shaft pin, then install it on the support plate, and send the aluminum wire lead to the top of the evaporation crucible through the pressing wheel and the guide tube. At the same time, the tension of the spring is adjusted, so that the aluminum wire pressed by the pressure roller does not slip, and the aluminum wire can be conveyed smoothly.


5. Both ends of the conductive boron nitride crucible are wrapped with graphite paper and pressed into the electrodes.


6. The original film drum of the substrate is installed on the drum, and the empty film drum is installed on the drum. After inflation, the core tightens.


7. Put the empty reel and the original film reel into the reel clamp and clamp, then pull the substrate out of the reel and wind it on the reel. Note that the substrate must be flat on the guide and main rolls, and make sure the edges of the spool and spool are aligned.
