Do you know what NCVM is? NCVM, also known as discontinuous coating technology or non-conductive coating technology, is a high-tech developed from ordinary vacuum coating. Vacuum non-conductive plating, also known as NCVM, is the abbreviation of Non conductive vacuum metalization in English. Its processing technology is higher than ordinary vacuum electroplating, and the processing technology is much more complicated than ordinary electroplating.


NCVM is a thin film coated with a metal and insulating compound, which exploits the discontinuous nature of each phase to obtain a final appearance that has a metallic feel without compromising wireless communication transmission. NCVM can be applied to various plastic materials, such as PC, PC+ABS, ABS, PMMA, nylon, engineering plastics, etc. It is more in line with the green environmental protection requirements of the manufacturing process, and is an alternative technology for non-chrome-plated products. Suitable for all plastic products that require surface treatment, especially 3C products with signal transceivers

The main feature of NCVM is that it combines the characteristics of traditional vacuum coating technology, adopts new coating technology and new materials, so that the metal appearance effect of ordinary vacuum coating has different colors, which can beautify the surface of the workpiece. The finished products manufactured by NCVM technology can pass the high voltage test of tens of thousands of volts high voltage meter, without conduction and breakdown. Since it is non-conductive, when the mobile phone or Bluetooth headset receives or transmits signals, the generated electromagnetic field will not be accumulated by the conductive coating, thus not affecting the RF (radio frequency) performance and ESD (electrostatic discharge) performance of the mobile phone, that is, making Wireless products achieve better reception, no noise, and no impact on the human body. From the point of view of electrical performance, it can pass conductivity test and electronic interference test. From the vacuum coating itself, it can guarantee normal physical and weather resistance tests at the same time, such as adhesion, abrasion resistance, alcohol resistance, artificial sweat resistance, high temperature and high humidity storage, etc. When the chassis of the communication product adopts the NCVM process, the antenna module of the product does not need to be designed to be grounded to the machine board, thereby eliminating the need to detect the antenna module and saving costs. At the same time, the appearance of the product has a strong metallic texture, thereby improving the technological content of the product and increasing the added value of the product.
