The vacuum pumping system of the high vacuum roll to roll coating machine is composed of a winding chamber pumping device and a coating chamber pumping device.

The winding pump unit consists of an oil booster pump, two roots pumps, a slide valve pump and a rotary vane pump. When the working pressure reaches 10-1 PA, the oil booster pump is used as the main pump to ensure high pumping rate.

The air pump unit in the coating room is composed of oil diffusion pump, roots pump, slide valve pump and rotary vane pump. The main pump adopts oil diffusion pump to ensure 10-2 PA vacuum state required for aluminum wire evaporation.

The vacuum pumping system is centrally controlled by programmable PLC and operated on LCD touch screen. It is divided into two modes: automatic control and manual control. The automatic mode is used for normal operation. PLC will automatically control the start or stop of each vacuum pump, opening or closing of valves and other functions. According to the vacuum value set in the vacuum gauge. The manual control mode is mainly used for commissioning and maintenance, which can realize the operation of independently opening and closing each pump and valve.

All the valves on the vacuum pipeline are pneumatic control valves, and the electromagnetic directional valve is used to control their opening or closing. The cylinder on the valve is equipped with a position signal switch to facilitate the control system to monitor the status of the valve.

A pneumatic charging valve is installed on the connecting pipe between roots pump and slide valve pump to charge the pump chamber when the slide valve pump stops. Its opening and closing action is linked with the slide valve pump, and the lag or lead time is controlled by the programmable controller.

The exhaust square valve of the coating chamber is equipped with a pneumatic air release valve, which is used to fill the vacuum chamber with air before the winding is completed and the winding car exits. Its opening action and time are controlled by the programmable controller.

Each vacuum pipe is equipped with a vacuum gauge socket to provide the vacuum pressure signal required by the programmable PLC and vacuum gauge, and facilitate the maintenance and detection of the pressure of each pipe in the vacuum system.

Vacuum tank is the main part of the whole vacuum coating equipment. Its structure is a cylindrical cylinder. The left end is closed with a round head, and the flange at the right end is connected with the large round plate of the winding car to realize sealing. It is connected with the external air extraction pipe. The internal space is used for plating products under vacuum. It is divided into upper chamber and lower chamber. The upper chamber is the substrate winding chamber and the lower chamber is the aluminum wire evaporation coating chamber.

A rectangular observation window is set at the middle and upper part of the front part of the vacuum tank to observe the operation of the substrate and the quality of the coating. The water tank is installed at the bottom of the vacuum tank to cool the vacuum tank, and the vacuum gauge is installed at the top to measure the pressure in the vacuum chamber.
